Tariff Classification

It is a numerical code assigned to each product when it is going to be imported or exported. Supported in the harmonized system in order to determine the duties that must be paid and the regulations and / or restrictions that the merchandise or product must comply with in the country where it is imported. Restrictions & Non-Tariff Regulations

COFEPRIS (Comisión Federal para la Protección Contra Riesgos Sanitarios)

 The Federal Commission Against Sanitary Risks is a Mexican agency that regulates the production, marketing, import and export of drugs, medical devices and everything that may represent a biological risk and may have contact with the human body.

SAGARPA (Secretaría de Agricultura, Ganadería, Desarrollo Rural, Pesca y Alimentación)

Is responsible for – developing a policy of support that permits producing, improving, and making the best use of the Agricultural, Livestock, Fisheries, and the Food Supply sector.

International Phytosanitary or Export Certificate:

This verifies that the merchandise that enters the country of destination is controlled against pests and that it does not represent a greater risk that harms the country.

FDA: Food and Drug Administration

Is an entity of the United States government that is responsible for managing, regulating products and / or services that are intended for human consumption or their protection.

USDA (United States Department of Agriculture)

The United States Department of Agriculture is the entity in charge of regulating livestock, agriculture and food activities, as well as the entry of merchandise of the same nature, thus guaranteeing control and protection against pests and other risks that may arise.

Certificate of Origin

With this document it is verified that the merchandise or product in question originates from said country. It is issued with the purpose of receiving tariff preference at the time it is imported into said destination country by international treaties.
